I have the Roland color palette installed into Corel X8. It appears to be functioning as normal, as far as coloring objects, text, etc...When I export the file, EPS or PDF, and then open it in Versaworks, Under 'file format' and then 'spot colors' the option to choose
those spot colors is not there. It's grey and unavailable.I understand that this question is as related to Roland and Versaworks as it is to Corel. Hoping there are some sign professionals
here that might be familiar with this problem.I've moved my sign shop recently and upgraded to X8 from X3, and am experiencing some 'growing pains'.
Are you exporting as NATIVE color?
I believe the Roland palate has CutContour as a magenta set to spot.
When you set the stoke to CutContour and select the stroke does CortelDRAW show it as CutContour?
Create a simple CDR file please, assign a CutContour outline and publish to PDF. Send the resulting PDF to davidmilisock@graphictechnology.com and I'll check out the PDF.
As far as you green tinted images goes getting color management working in Versaworks can be a challenge.
Why color space are the images in?
What format do you send them to VW in?
Do you embed a profile with your images?
Is VW set to honor embedded profiles in an image?
If memory serves VW will not honor embedded profiles in a PDF and it is required that you set VW color management to assume the PDF files color spaces.
Here is my Versaworks setup. This gives me great colour.
By discarding the colour profile I force everything to use sRGB or Roland CMYK ...
The second attachment is my PDF colour settings out or CDR.
