I have years and years of drawings they were all created what the font advgard BT (I think I'm doing this from memory on my phone). that's all it is installed on my computer yet when I open all these drawings there is no text. is there away to globally change the text in the drawing, or any ideas why this font it doesn't show up in the drawings.
What version of CorelDraw are you actually opening the file in? And if possible, what version of CorelDraw created the file ?
The font would have been AvantGarde BT and the font should be on your CorelDraw CD or DVD. There were versions with abbreviated names like that, but they would not have had the BT (bitstream) suffix and I'm sure those were only in very early versions (maybe 2 to 5).
I have it as a type1 font, which needs two files 0154a___.pfm and 0154a___.pfb. But the truetype version was probably on the CD too -- it might have been called 0154a___.ttf.
One thing you must not do is to install the type1 and the truetype version version of the same font. That would often give a problem very similar to the one you are describing.
Thanks, looks like the TT Font was also installed?
I am good to go, Old drawing now have text as they should.
