I am trying to contour an outline, separate the contour from the outline, move the outline, and then select the contour object that I just separated. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
That is part of the problem, I can create the contour, and it can be referenced by the contour group, but once separated it is just an object without a designation. After going through the classes, there appears to be no direct method to handle this, so I will just use a workaround, which seems like a lot of extra BS for something so simple.
Is that what you need?
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Dim eff As Effect, s As Shape, sCont As Shape, shR As ShapeRange, sh As Shape Set eff = ActiveSelection.CreateContour(cdrContourOutside, 1, 1) Set shR = eff.Separate Set s = ActiveShape s.name = "Parent" For Each sh In shR.Shapes If sh.name <> "Parent" Then Set sCont = sh Next sCont.name = "Contour"
Thanks, that is it, and it is so simple. I was overcomplicating it. Thanks for your help!
Glad to help...
