Hi. A customer sent me this pdf. And when I drang and drop this into Corel, it shows just bitmaps with a bad resolution. When importing it in another vector software it shows up as vector file (but looses all parameters... like line thickness, fillings and things like this)
Sometimes corel asks me between two different ways if importing the file, but not this time. This is the file: PDF
And this is how it looked when imorted into corel:Any ideas to get this as a vector into corel? Thanks!Roelli.
When tried open or import your file I got error message - file is corrupted. So I saved pdf to new pdffile on AA11 (attached) and then it opens fine
PDF
N.B. The reason why CD doesn't like that PDF is due to it being created in Affinity Designer (well, any of Serif's Affinity applications where the following setting is left checked:
If the designer either clicks the More Button, the scrolls all the way down and unchecks Allow advanced features--or simply uses the PDF for Export preset, CD will not barf up those PDFs to begin with.
As Mek demonstrates, resaving the PDF from Acrobat et al is typically enough for the PDF to open fine in CD.
Comes in perfectly into my X7. What do you mean "it loses line thickness?" After import you double-click the pen inkwell and check Scale with object.
Nice!I just tried to open and save the file with acrobat reader, everything is there, but the Text is missing. So maybe I need the full version "adobe acrobat" instead of "acrobat reader" and that might work? Thanks!Roelli.
Hmm. I don't have Reader to actually try anymore. Use to work fine though, artwork and text. I did just try with Acrobat and that worked fine. So maybe Reader doesn't work.
If you get more of these that use Serif Affinity applications, maybe pick up Serif Affinity Designer to open and re-export to pdf and unchecking that box I show or using a preset that has it unchecked to begin with.
