Hi
I'm having major problems trying to export a 48 page A5 document to pdff in the new CDGS 2018. I've been exporting these documents (a monthly News booklet) for years in X5, X6 and X8 with no difficulty whatsoever. The first time I tried to publish to PDF in 2018 it only exported 4 pages out of 48, I checked all the settings and again the same failure.
I saved the document to X8, opened it in that version and exported it to pdf without issue. Same settings.
I've repaired 2018 and even uninstalled and reinstalled (from the disc). Same problem.
Can somebody please help.
Thanks, Colin
Hi Colin, any luck? My Corel 2018 does exactly the same, only export the first 14 pages of a 67 page document to PDF, I saved the document back to Corel 2017, and had no problem to PDF the whole document.
The only way round I find always works is to convert all text to curves. I.ve reduced the number of fonts on my system, as advised, which works to an extent but still a bit hit and miss. If I want to preserve the text I'm still saving back to X8 and exporting from there. Hoping for a patch,, if enough users highlight the problem. I still don't understand why I have to employ remedial measures to fix something that wasn't broken before.
All the best, Colin
Colin: Have you applied Update 1 to CDGS 2018? It's available at 'Patches & Updates' and dated 06-14-2018. However, the Release Notes do not indicate specific PDF Export fixes. Nonetheless, it is recommended to apply it.
Good luck!
Many thanks, Didn't realise the first patch was out. See if it does anything.
I'm facing a similar problem from Coreldraw 2018 on my friend's PC. I export a pdf of a 20 page document, the pdf opens up in adobe reader dc, and only first 3-4 pages turn out to be fine then rest of the pages are corrupt. I tried exporting his other documents but i face the same issue. I even changed the pdf settings to PDF-X1/A and pdf x-3 but still no respite.
I've come on this forum after ages as I switched to InDesign and illustrator almost eight years ago. It's really unfortunate to know that Corel corporation haven't fixed their pdf exporters till now!!!
