I need to add nodes to each segment of a shape such that each node is at a specified distance from the previous one.
I am aware of the + key functionality, but it is not useful as it adds too many nodes on short segments and long segments get nodes too far apart from each other.
EDIT:
I want to add nodes via a macro.
Thanks.
Please Help.
What code should I change?
use macro above - testNode.
AddNodeAt 0.5 - means set node on half of segment, you can change this value from 0.01 to 0.99

shark_ testNode method and "select all nodes then press + key" already do this.
I want to add nodes at equal distance on the segment.
try change "AddNodeAt 0.5" to "AddNodeAt 0.2" or any other value. You can write macro using AddNodeAt with needed value. 0.5 means 1/2 of segment's length, 0.2 = 1/5 length of segment etc.
