The link manager of the 2019 version of CorelDraw has many problems, starting with the inability to cancel a hyperlink assigned to some object (if they changed the way to do so it was not clear). But perhaps the most disturbing problem is the mess it makes when you have many objects with different links in the same document. At the time that a PDF is exported, the links are all changed between the objects, a link that was on one object goes to another and ends up becoming a total mess. Even without exporting the PDF, only the act of saving and closing the file is enough for the next time you open it to be the same mess.Not even in Update 2 this has been resolved.
With regard to links, I had to do a huge project for a school district when they closed for COVID. Each week, typeset lessons, in each subject, for Grades PreK-5. One grade, one week averaged about 20 pages, with an external link on each. No way CD 2018 was handling that. So I underlined each one, exported finished document to PDF then opened in Acrobat and assigned the links there. Worked like a charm. If you have full Acrobat, it can be done that way and didn't take much time.
Common! What are you running a toy laptop? I regularly run CorelDRAW files into the gigabyte range. Last month I did a 12 page layout for veterinary clinic 50' high x 35' wide with images of the building placed on each page with the full scale signs in place.
