Hi
long time Coreldraw user, slightly dismayed by the 2019 release...
In previous versions I could use the effects/transform/invert colour option on a vector object to quickly generate required objects. Now when I use this option in 2019, the object gets transformed and the edges are blurred as though it is converted to a bitmap. After this I can no longer change its colour etc. the final outputs are blurred too. I need to retain the vector objects
how do I get it to work as older versions?

Dear Corel. It was a bad decission(high level) to remove the old adjustment options for vectors and changed to Non-Destructive effects. All vectors with Non-Destructive effects become unclear(edges) bitmaps in pdf-x4. The Non-Destructive fx is ok in CorelDraw for bitmaps(not vectors) and in PhotoPaint but not in CorelDraw. Really, really bad decission.
I have used the: Effects/Adjust/Contrast Enh. from MenuBar not the fx from Properties . Single vector object(gradient) was tested not a grouped objects.

Pros and cons with everything I guess. What you are showing in your screenshot is Contrast Enhancement on a vector object.Contrast Enhancement has never been possible with vector objects before, only bitmaps as far as I know,Now we have the ability to apply them also to vector objects but the non-destructive effect will be a bitmap. The resolution will be based on document Rendering resolution (Document options... > Page Size), and on the export settings for PDF.Some adjustments can be performed also on vector objects, like Hue/Saturation/Lightness for example, but if they are grouped, the adjustment will be a bitmap effect in Draw 2019.This has been corrected in Draw 2020.
completely agree
