Hi Guys
I recently installed CDGS 2019 on my laptop (i5 - 8GB RAM - Windows 8.1)
X6 is still installed and works 100%.
When I open 2019 and try to either import or save, it crashes.
I can drag artwork into 2019 and work on the file but I cannot import anything or save.
I have deleted all temp files on my pc.
I repaired the program from program features
I have renamed Corel Draw Graphics Suite 2019 to "Corel Draw Graphics Suite 2019 OLD"
Restarted my pc but still the same problem.
I would prefer to leave X6 on my pc as I dont have the installation disc / serial number anymore to reinstall it if 2019 fails to work.
Hope someone can help out?
I am assuming you have a proper license for CD. If I were you I would launch the program make sure you're logged in to your account and then uninstall the application and all user files. REBOOT the system make sure you have ALL WINDOWS UPDATES.
Then install the application, DO NOT install to the default folder. I use c:\corel2019\corel\XXXXXXXX . Reboot, launch application to see if the install worked, if you give it time the application should look for and find the updates in order.
If you install manually reboot between updates and give it 5 minutes between the finish of rebooting until you try to test launch the application, the close the app and install the next update.
After installing all updates hold F8 and launch the font manager and rebuild the font database. It may take a long time but once it's done hold F8 and launch CD, the F8 and launch PP.
DO NOT UST CUSTOM WORKSPACES! Test the programs with default workspaces.
