Click record, then
Ctrl + ACpgdn
Stop recording
on play back get a debug error and it appears the pgdn is the cause..
Hey Buddy
Thanks, just using the inbuilt recorder which I assume creates VBA code..
sucks it wont recognise a pgdn...
If you want to see what has been recorded, you can look at the code in the VBA editor.
For some things, recording works great. Even when it works, though, it may produce code that is sort of weird compared to what one would write "from scratch" to do a particular task.
Would you be willing to describe exactly what you wish to automate?
ctrl+A
C
Go to next page
and repeat until everpage is done.. could be up to 100 pages..
Do want to horizontally center objects relative to one of the objects? Or relative to the page?
no just Centre.. thanx
Are you trying to align all shapes, by their horizontal centers, to the center of the page?
I apologize if I seem to be asking picky questions - but getting automation right usually starts with understanding the problem, and I'm not sure I understand it yet.
The file that is open has many pages and names have been print mered onto those pages.
The design on the page is placed correctly and the new name that has been print merged is correct horizontially.
however some names are different lengths, so the name needs to be centred to the design.
the way it is done now is to
open file
Ctrol+A
Go to next page and repeat.
There can be up to 100 pages..

If you center justify Artistic text before performing the print merge, then the merged text should still be centered.
