Thanks to the input I've received from the forum, I have the CMYK workflow for sending a PDF off to the press for litho printing.
But what if the client wants an eBook as well as a printed book? So that's an RGB document. I guess I could convert the CMYK PDF to RGB, but that's a double conversion of the images, right?
What's the best way to produce both types of books, starting off with RGB?
Thanks in advance.
If it's going to print and web simply create for print and publish an RGB PDF or like I just did for a golfing booklet just publish a native color CMYK PDF . Acrobat reader or the Windows version will display in RGB.
Thanks David. I know that some people like to preserve the images as RGB for the PDF because they look 'better' on screen. But then, the eBook and printed book will essentially look different.
So you're saying, keep it all in CMYK. Acrobat reader will display the images as RGB, which will now look the same as the printed book?
