Is it possible to assign a hotkey to the Selection tool ( the black arrow)? I use "H" to use the "hand" tool, but can't find one to return to the "selection" tool.

The Space Bar can be used to toggle back and forth between the most-recently-active tool and the Pick tool. That behavior is baked into CorelDRAW.
If you want to explicitly assign a shortcut key to the Pick tool, you could do that using regular CorelDRAW workspace customization:
Thank you very much, you were very kind and very quick: I had tried all the keys of the keyboard and also the keys of the piano !
However when using the Text tool obviously the space bar won't work, so I changed my default to Ctrl-Space to toggle and Alt-Space for the Shape Tool
I thought the default has always been ctrl+space
