Why couldn't these just remain neutral? I know Adobe does this with their "goofy" tacky artwork with Illustrator, but why follow them? (at least the PHOTO-PAINT & Font Manager's Splash screens aren't so bad though).
The entire CorelDRAW 2019 program was atrocious. (final release with only 3 wheels, never received the 4th wheel, so useless! To at least get the 4th wheel as a spare tire, had to purchase 2020 for now until Corel gets all these bugs worked out, but by time then, the ENGINE WILL BLOW!)
But at least 2019 had a nice Splash Screen I have to see EVERYDAY as I start CorelDraw.
My goodness Corel.
2020
2019
As an output professional I always tried to not be an art critic. However, wow! The 2020 screen reminds me of the gaudy Native American headdress art they showed. That may have been clip art I can't remember.
I agree, it's ugly -- I close my eyes now as it opens. I would much prefer something neutral. I really liked 2018's splash.
To be fair to the artist, to each their own, I just don't really like stuff like that which I am forced to see everyday I open the software for probably more than year. Unless I decide to discontinue the UPGRADE PROTECTION that is. : /
It's a fine piece of work, just feel these things should be kept neutral rather then someone's personal opinion.
A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E-L-Y agree!!
Can't stand the 2020 splash! No offense to the artist/artwork, just NOT the right place for it.
2018 (or previous years with the hot air balloon) splash screen are definitively better...
Thanks @Eskimo for the tip on how to change the splash!! Mine is now set back to 2018.
Now I can rest ;-)
Agree this one was great, also on my 4K 47 inch screen it comes up filling half the screen, i don't want it to auto scale the splash, its annoying.

The splash image for Draw is here on my systems:
C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2020\Languages\EN\Draw\Skin\APP_Fireball.png.
Put your own transparent .PNG file there; see your own splash image.
If you'd rather see Puddles every time you launch CorelDRAW...
Why do we need a splash screen at all? Just indicate the launch with as litte resources as possible and open real fast.
LOL. Very clever. I've never cared enough about a splash screen to wish to seek and destroy it but it's still cool.

Thanks! I didn't discover that myself; somebody told me about it.
There is a substantial amount of stuff in CorelDRAW that is stored in very accessible formats. A lot of configuration files, for example, are plain text.
I don't get worked up much over the splash screens, either. If someone at Corel seriously asked me for a list of things I would like to see changed in CorelDRAW, that list would have to get really, really long before "Change the splash screens" would show up.
What you just posted is the first reason my client wants no part of CorelDRAW. The people they hired always were screwing with the interface and causing problems. IT time is expensive.
I'm the same I don't really care. What really does irk me though is the way Draw grabs the focus a number of times whilst loading. If I'm doing something else grabs the focus and stops me doing that that I was doing. Tiresome.
I remember back in X3 (or was it X4?) when they had a lizard for splash screen. It was very poorly cut out and there were clearly visible fringes and stray pixels that weren't fully transparent here and there around the edges.Don't remember who told me or how I found out about these "fireball.png" files, but I managed to fix the edges and make it more pleasant to look at. I prefer clean and simple splash screens, or none if that is an option.Choosing between 2018, 2019 and 2020, the 2019 ones look best and most professional, IMHO.

Yes, 2019 is the best.
Thanks for the link, I now have just a red circle, but in time I will do something else. I just could not look at the original splash every day. There is no artwork that is pleasing to everyone...but then again, it is tough enough learning all the changes they make with every "upgrade" and I have used Corel Draw since version 3.
I didn't mean to criticize the artist. It is good artwork, just not something I want to see everyday. I've changed my splash to a transparent bubble for now. :D

Same here. Just looks religious or cult-like I guess... I think that is what sticks out to me the first time it loaded... was like... WTF??
Like all you here, i don't like the new CorelDRAW splash screen. its bold and non professional.
Here is my own simple splash screen, maybe later when i will have more time i'll add a bit design to it.
I also hated that pic and the one for Paintshop Pro 2020 with that woman on the chair bruised my soul every time it opened.
So I made new ones for both and they work just fine!

That's the link for the original size for CorelDRAW if you like it!
Cheers
Oh this is SOOO awesome... but really so much more fitting for v2019 Update 3!!!! Corel really should use these type of themes for those "not quite right" versions of CorelDraw! Ha!!!!!!!!
Good job! ; )
If Corel did it it would take financial resources from the program. The boys family's really guard their images. With that said I love the idea!
