I have the automatic spell checking disabled but it still doing it. This is a problem in all Coredraw versions, as I can remember. It's very annoying, please fix it!
Have you tried disabling "Replacement text" Options, Text > Quick Correct?
Yes, of course, I have turned off all Quick Correct options. Thank you Ronny.
I assume you've set the spell-checker language FR or CF?
Dear ajwh, as I mentioned I have the Spell Checking option (permanently) disabled.
How did you manage to turn it off permanently, Aristides? There is a bug in the latest versions that turns the spell checker on after restarting draw, every time.At least that's what I see here.
About this, it's certainly a few years bug. If you don't need the text spelling or you think that all these red zagged lines are very annoying, you uncheck the text spelling from options and 'save settings as default' but it doesn't keep it. Every time you open or create a new file you have to visit again the tools options.I contacted Corel Tech Support and they promiced to fix it in the next versions. Meanwhile they gave me this solution:You first have to download and save the CorelTxt.txt file.
www.dropbox.com/.../CorelTxt.txt
Then:1. Rename file from CorelTxt.txt to CorelTxt.ini2. Press Windows key + R and type %appdata%. Open the Corel folderOpen the CorelDRAW folderOpen the Config folderReplace the CorelTxt.ini3. Launch CorelDRAW 2020 and Spelling should now be disabled.
Write any text in text editor software like Notepad>Edit>Select all>Copy>Paste in CorelDraw and the "dont" word remain "dont".I know that this is not a perfect solution, but....
