Hi there, I have just updated to the subscription v2022. And I'm finding it keeps crashing on me. I have experienced crashing in the past on v2020 because it hasn't liked the fonts. But this is crashing for no reason I can see. Is this happening to others of just me - tempted to go back to v2020
Not knowing what part of the world you're in I cannot speak to the concept if your version of Windows is the same as my U.S. version. Even in the U.S. there are many versions, the versions you download from Microsoft and then the various altered versions installed by various computer manufacturers.
I have 2022 on 2 systems in my studio and 1 marketing client upgraded 2 systems, all run Intel i9 processors with 32 or 64 GB of RAM and 8GB video cards, Samsung SSDs and daily updated versions of Windows 10 Pro. No crashing issues yet.
From my experiance neither Windows 10 nor CorelDRAW 2022 are causing any crashing issues. With that said I have seen issues with improperly updated versions of Windows specifically system fonts that have not updated, font embedding and custom workspace issues causing poor performance and application lockups and shutdowns.
I build my own PC so my Windows is retail version; Windows 10 Home 19044.1620, on i5-4440 with 24 GB RAM, GTX 2060 6 GB VRAM, and WD SSD. Everything except the CPU and mainboard were changed in the last two years.
CorelDraw 2021 performance was slow and unstable on my machine. 2021.5 improve things but the performance is kind of sluggish. 2022 just randomly crash on me. I do indeed have some pop-up about font version when I open older files, but the crash is on newly created file without any text too. And I added 4-5 tools to default workspace.
Have you tried restoring the default workspace?
Yes. Nothing happens so far. I plan to start a drawing with tons of objects before upgrading my machine next week. I will see if that work.
I assume you getting an all new set of boards and a new processor and RAM, correct?
