I create posters for an organization which uses png files for the logos. When I export the posters to pdf for printing, the quality of the png files is severly degraded and appears very pixelated. I've tried several tweaks, but nothing seems to affect the end result. Not sure how to solve the problem - I have recently purchased Corel Draw 2024, and thought it would fix this issue, but it hasn't.
Are the png's low res to begin with? If so, nothing you can do will make them better.
Have to find better logos. Simple google image search, brandsoftheworld, google search for a pdf ("company name":pdf), or check to see who did the website and send them a request for a better file.
No, the logos are very high quality. I actually wondered if that was the problem. The png file of the logo in the recent ad I created was sized at over 5000 dpi, so I thought perhaps there was something happening when the pdf was created, due to the really large size of the logo png. Weird idea, I know, but I'm baffled.
5000 DPI!!! What are the "physical" size of the images? 0.5 inches?? or more like 6 inches? You need more or less 300 PDI at 100% of the final printing size.
in the file I am currently working on, the logo "physical" size is approximately 2.5 x .5 inches, and it's DPI when I try to export to pdf is enormous - over 5000 dpi. Is that what you mean?
