I have CorelGraphics Suite 2021 for Mac and I have a curious problem. Whenever I create a new piece of artistic or paragraph text, the status bar reveals the default language as NLD (Dutch), resulting in the spelling being checked as if the text is Dutch text. In the preferences, however, I have everything set to English.The default language settings for my Mac are also set to English. I can change the language to English for each individual piece of text but that defeats the purpose - not to mention very time-consuming. I need all new text to be English off the bat. I've already re-installed the product twice but this problem persists. Any suggestions?

I can certainly change the language individually each time like that, but how do I make it stick for all further new text elements - and have that preference survive a restart of the application?
What does "go to Tools - save as default" mean? There is no "Tools" menu.
If you mean "CorelDRAW 2021> Save preferences as default", then this doesn't seem to do it. Even after I apply that setting, new text is still created as NLD.
Should be Tools - Save Settings As Default (on PC version, now I noticed that you are on Mac version)
That's in a different place on a Mac, but that simply doesn't solve this problem anyway.
