How to select more then 1 object

Hello, 

I ask for workaround way  for Freehand Pick Tool, because such tool not exist in CorelDraw X3.
Barring this and a few other similar issues, Corel X3 meets my needs for a specific computer that runs a cutting plotter.

Any other idea how to compensate for the lack of Freehand pick tool?

One approach would be to draw a Curve, then select objects that intersect that curve. This might give you some ideas:
