When using the Lighting effect with extrude the segments on round areas like the letter O are very visible and not blended into a gradient?
Without boasting too much, I think I can consider myself an expert with this topic. ;-)I almost NEVER use the extrude tool with its lighting effects for precision work.I ALWAYS break everything apart, weld objects and apply gradients to simulate the lighting and shadows. It's an incredibly long and tedious procedure. CorelDRAW is in serious need of updating this tool since many graphic domains could benefit from it. It's been working this way since it was first developped, almost 30 years ago!!! Talk about need of updating!I'm in the signage industry and I very often draw 3D images. All done in CorelDRAW. This is one of my most practiced techniques. So.... there's a remodeling company in White Plains NY called Tetro Design, but I presume you're the one in Winnipeg?
Great work, Stephan, and glad to know someone is doing such lovely things with CorelDRAW and not the Adobe Illustrator default. I bought CorelDRAW 1.xxx in the 80s and every other year since. I also use Photoshop a lot, and sometimes I can drag and drop stuff--not always. I love the website art and the JAZZ logo! You can see my 60's inspired designs in a video slideshow at
