Starting small 2-person business and purchased second computer. Can we, and how do we share our one license for both computers. Here are the icons on the 1st computers desktop. I am not sure if they are all part one Corel package we bought.
Corel Draw 2018, 64 bit
Capture 2018, 64 bit
Photo-Paint 2018
Connect 2018
Font Manager, 2019
If we are able to share the one license, what are your thoughts on upgrading to the 2020 version...is it worth it or advisable?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Tom and Wendy
Short answer is that you are likely to end up in some grief with the licensing system and you really don't want to go there.
It was the case that a single operator could install Corel on a stationary and a laptop system providing they use one or the other but not both at the same time. That's not what you are trying to do. You would most definitely be in breach of the license agreement.
I'm running 2018 here and have major issues with the page refreshing. That could be unique to my hardware, most likely the Radeon graphic card. I sure as hell won't be recommending anyone stay on 2018 based on my experience.
Gerard Metrailler over 3 years ago in reply to Gerard MetraillerHello CorelDRAW Community, First of all, thank you very much for your feedback over the last few weeks. We heard your comments loud and clear, and are working on updating our EULA based on your valuable input. With that change, we will enable you to install the product on your desktop as well as your laptop computer, as long as both are yours and not used simultaneously (there will be some limitations similar to the ones we had in the past) and are expecting the new EULA to be ready within 30 days. For now, we are making sure that you can install and activate your purchased and/or subscribed version of CorelDRAW on two devices - I expect these changes to happen in the next few days on our activation server. Happy CorelDRAWing! Gérardcommunity.coreldraw.com/.../276103
Offline bamagirl over 3 years ago in reply to bamagirlI'm so aggravated. I finally this email response after my question was "elevated to tier 2":__________________________________________________________________________________Sneha Baid (Corel)Apr 20, 06:05 EDTThank you for reaching out to us. My name is Sneha and your Case has been escalated to me. I am happy to look into your request now and provide assistance.I have now cleared out the older installations on your account and you should be able to reinstall again as required. Please feel free to reach out to us in case of any concerns.Regards,Sneha_________________________________________________________________________________So this is good, I think. Maybe I'm ready to install and move forward. Nope. Now all I get is "unknown error" when I try to install on my laptop. I've tried cleaning up the registry, but it didn't help. I now have an icon on my desktop for continuing the CorelDraw installation, but all it does is give me the "unknown error' message and shut down again. I contacted support via chat again and the guy told me that I can NOT have the software on two computers. I shared with him a copy of the email and my ticket number. Boom. Chat support agent disappears. This is absolutely unacceptable. When everyone else is running Microsoft Office I'm like an old dinosaur still running WordPerfect. Everyone else is running Illustrator or Photoshop but I'm still hanging onto CorelDraw. I've always believed that Corel offered superior products for what I do. Now I'm questioning if there is any reason for me to continue to hang on. Customer support is pretty darn important in the software world, and I'm getting ZERO.community.coreldraw.com/.../how-many-installations-can-i-have
