agreed, the comparison is of pricing. Most of the people are happy with Corel 12, but they can not buy it, and x6, comes with 2 years maintenance, and Rs. 48000+vat, makes it very expensive, that's lead to piracy.
again, in any shop they have more than 2 or 3 computers, so this is one shop, but they need 3 SW, should they spend(invest) more than one lakh on Corel only. how will they pay for electricity bill or Petrol bill...
Hi Anand, others,
Anand Dixit said:I do not intend to offend anyone here nor I want to get into the pricing discussion war.
I do not think it would be a war. This is just like many other products/services in this world. At some point in the past someone from Canada had to cut deals and put things in place to deliver this product to India or anywhere else. Thus a chain of distribution is established across country lines. Everything is working just fine then along comes the Internet, shrinks the world and exposes these types of things to comparison on a worldly level. You need to consider the bigger picture.
Very interesting issue. My main question would be does this product help provide income to many Indian people, if so it's a good thing.

Is this equal to approx. $540.00us?
dear Bob
I am greatful that someone is listening, and caring for masses who earn their daily meal with the help of Corel.
We are really thankful to the World's best software for giving us an opportunity to work and earn. However living and working conditions restrains people to buy at such an steep price.
The main issue is pricing of 3-user pack. UK version was launched last month for providing relief to small enterprises.
3-user pack is a necessity, 1 s/w for main computer, 2 s/w for learners/helpers, 3 s/w for sending output to the printer.
pls tailor your product according to the need of the market, and not to feed distributor or sophisticated bullys.
pls help, it will sell more s/w, and not Hate.
