Hello,
I have a quite big Corel File (3 pages, 150 layers across them and thousands of objects). Everything is fine while working with the document but, when I try to export it to PDF, some of the layers appear duplicated. In fact if I export let's say 15 layers, I get around 50 in the PDF file. Some of these layers do not even contain anything but, they make the process of viewing the file with Adobe Reader, very difficult.
I have tried everything, including selecting and deselecting layers (view/print), changing the export settings and so on.
Does anybody know anyway around this?
Thanks in advance.

I'm glad you found a workaround to get the job done. I'm still curious, though, about how and why it was failing in CorelDRAW - especially if it a task that you will want to do again in the future.Another question: do you ever use / install macros in CorelDRAW? I have written a couple of macros to try to make it easier to work with large numbers of layers.
With out seeing the CDR file we're pissing in the wind.
I'm running Windows 7 and CorelDRAW X8, and I don't know what might be different about your setup - but you can try this and see how it goes.
I have the following VBA code:
Sub HelloWorld() MsgBox "Hello, World!"End Sub
and it is contained in this .GMS file:
HelloWorld.gms
I have that file located in my "user" CorelDRAW GMS folder:
C:\Users\[my username]\AppData\Roaming\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X8\Draw\GMS.
In CorelDRAW, in the Macro Manager Docker, under Visual Basic for Applications, this macro shows up looking like this:
or like this:
depending on whether or not the docker is set to show things in "simple mode".
Right-click on the macro name and then click on "Run", or simply double-click on the macro name:
and this message box should appear:
If this works for you, then you have installed - and have run - a VBA macro!
