A new CorelDRAW user coming from Illustrator just asked me a question I can't answer. Hopefully someone here can provide a solution.
He wants to create an object, say a simple square. Then he wants to select a single node and move it to a precise location. In Adobe Illustrator this can be done via the Properties>Anchor Point>Transform dialog. Apparently there is no dialog box in DRAW that will allow this operation. Or is there?
I spent 20 minutes digging through the Corel Documentation before posting my question and don't you know... I found the answer!
The Object Coordinates dialog box is okay for displaying info. But it would be a lot better if a user could actually numerically enter a new coordinate position of a node/anchor point within that dialog box, or do so in a similar Transformation box elsewhere in the user interface. What would be even better: numerical entry of node position as well as numerical entry of direction point handle position and angle axis on smooth or cusp curve nodes. Not even Illustrator provides that level of control. You pretty much have to use a specialty application such as FontLab to find that level of numerical control for nodes.
Actually you can numerically input desired node position in Coordinates Docker if you single click it. it's not obvious from UX point of view but can be done (at least it works in 2020 and 2021 and probably does in 2017 version). then you need to choose whether to replace object or create new one
