Hi you all,
after installing the Fall Creators Update of Windows 10 64bit we noticed a delay in the follwoing functions:
When starting - takse very long to open a new document.
Copy an object (rectangle) - takes about 30 sec. (busy clock apears)
Print dialog appears after a long delay of about 1 min.
Export to web dialog appears after a long delay of about 1 min.
There might be other problems, but we uninstalled the update. After reinstalling it again, same problems. Now permernatently uninstalled. Normal behavior again.
Any ideas? Does anyone have similar problems?
Thanks for your response.
Corel Draw 2017 slow in several aspects (copy/paste speed is the most noticeable) under Windows 10 Version 1709 (OS Build 16299.98) / Intel Core I7 7700K / 32GB G.Skill Memory / AMD Radeon Pro WX 5100
I have another workstation with same internals on Windows 10 Version 1703 (OS Build 15063.726) and it works flawlessly.
Hello mike-online,
I've figured out the same issues after installing Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 3 days ago. Corel takes a long time to open files and it doesn't matter if these files are small or large. Beside that issue the Fontlist Tool works very slow and I almost can't use it anymore. To create a new file takes also a long time and the copy/paste function works very lame. Every file export needs one minute or more and besides it plays none rolls how large or small the file is I want to export...
I've uninstalled my AMD driver package (Radeon Software Crimson Relive 17.11.4) and after that I installed an older version of this package (Radeon Software Crimson Relive 17.11.1) but the Corel issues are still the same. Before I've updated to Fall Creators Update Corel works fine and fast with the Radeon Software Crimson Relive 17.11.1 driver package. Because of this fact I don't think the new issues are connected to buggy AMD driver software but somehow to the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. Under Windows 10 1703 my CorelDRAW 2017 version worked very fine and perfect. But now the work with CorelDRAW is absolutely devastating!
I hope Corel is able to fix that problem the following days…
Hello again, after further research work I've figured out that there realy exist some problems between the "Windows 10 Fall Creators Update" and several AMD driver packages. I guess these problems causes the issues in CorelDRAW I had discribed in my previous post. Microsoft is still working on it to offer a solution for that problem soon. Until Microsoft is able to solve the problem between "Fall Creators Update" and the AMD driver software Microsoft recommends a roll back to an older driver version of the AMD driver package.
Beside my PC I still work with a Microsoft Surface Book and I have also installed the "Windows 10 Fall Creators Update" on it. The graphic devise in my Surface Book is an "Intel HD Graphics 520" and I have none of the discribed problems while I working with CorelDRAW 2017 on my Surface Book.
Having some of the same problems since the update. Especially annoying is CorelDraw goes unresponsive when trying to open an existing file right after launch. Open, Open Recent, Drag to bar...all the same. Please fix...I'm losing hours of time in the Christmas rush!!!
My system configuration:
Intel i7-3770K 3,7 MHz
16 GB DDR3 memory
Intel board DH67BL
AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series
Hope this helps.
Thanks for looking into it.
Mike
