When i click my mouse to draw the cursor moves up and to the left of the position i started which makes any and all editing impossible. Imagine trying to draw a line but the starting point is a half to a full inch up and to the left of where you wanted the line to start. I've tried a clean install even changed my mouse. doesn't do it it drawx4 only photo-paint x4. Any suggestions?
Hello mtoklsen; like said above the video driver is the first place I'd look, the secound would be the driver for the mouse. and if it was a Logitech I'd go buy a new mouse.
My Thoughts George
hmm, latest video drivers here. I've tried multiple mice too, mainly use razor mice. even tried different drivers there too.
Thanks
One other thing came to mind. When you removed the Razor Mouse, did you also remove the software installed with it?
Jack, just tried the resetting of the brushes with no luck. I did leave the software for my death adder previously but uninstalled it this morning and tried my Gigabyte mouse with and without drivers for it also without any luck.
I know this happened a while ago, but were you able to solve this problem?
I`ve been having similar problems with the Clone, Brush and Eraser tools. I think (fingers crossed) I`ve fixed it after reading that people with previous versions of Photo Paint and using different operating systems have overcome their problems by adjusting their screen resolution.
To quote one victim , " I found My problem.... Most of us are running large or widescreen monitors at high screen resolutions. To compensate for the resulting "Very" small screen print, we have set the Screen Font Size DPI to large, 120 dpi or higher... If I set my screen DPI back to the default "96 DPI" all is well in PhotoPaint."
and another, "I read somewhere the screen resolution could be the problem & sure enough it fixed the problem. You have the option of making things larger on the screen anywhere from 100%/125%/150%. You cannot use the 150% setting for some reason."
I run Windows 8 and simply clicked on Control Panel + Display and then chose the Medium setting in the Change the size of all items list. I hope it works for other folk.

Wow! I had my screen at 135% and changing it to 125% corrected my problem. Thanks for the help!
