Hello Everyone. How Can I make a SVG File like This 1.
Some 1 Give me info.
[1] Draw a rectangle and fill it with a linear fountain fill.
[2] Duplicate
[3] Scale the duplicate down from the top and convert it to curves.
[4] Add a curved node or 2 to get the curve shape.
[5] Export as SVG
Can u Make This for me Please. I m a New Corel Draw User.
And you need to read about Scalable Vector Graphics format to decide which type of SVG (SVG Profile) you need, which depends on the destination of the SVG file.
For example, SVG Tiny does not support fountain fills (gradients), a workaround is to draw solid bands to simulate fountain fill (you can export to EPS and import back to get these bands) which will increase the file size.
CorelDRAW Help contains some info about SVG, import and export, technical notes and restrictions.
I think, in CorelDRAW, you cannot choose between SVG Profiles to export. You might need to use Illustrator…
ahhhhhh, thank you Ahmad.
I never knew that about SVG...............I don't think I ever needed to use that file type.
I was only thinking about how to create the graphic.
I guess I was only helping with the least important part.
Thanks for that additional information.
Whoops...........now I'm confused, Ahmad.
I just tried saving this quick example as SGV, imported back into Corel and that fountain fill is still there.
What am I missing?
SVG is the last of the issues to deal with before the next Firefox release.
I did note an error with text as text a month ago (in FF3) but checking today that seems resolved. And it wasn't Draw causing the issue as the file reimported correctly.
Seems well supported in Firefox and Chrome; naturally it's buggered in IE7 and at least without a HTML wrapper fails in Safari.
Whatever you intend to use SVG for I'd do a end to end test before you get too excited.
Not sure you could say colour management is being applied correctly to these graphics. That might need to be checked if you are in fuss mode. It might be an issue with FF3 and not Draw it's hard to say.

SVG Tiny does not support gradients; not all SVG profiles.
In CorelDRAW, you cannot choose an SVG profile when exporting. So maybe CorelDRAW decides a profile that suits the content; a profile that supports gradients in your case. Or maybe CorelDRAW exports to one certain profile; I don't know.
For example, if you can choose SVG profiles and chose SVG Tiny (not in CorelDRAW), the gradient objects will be rasterized.
Note that SVG files are widely used in medium powered devices and small devices such as mobile phones; not only for web. SVG is also used for printing!
In the "dark side", you can

Thank you, Ahmad, for taking the time to explain about SVG.
The file format is foreign to me but learning something new is very, very nice.
I love this forum.

I was trying to say that one needs to read about SVG before export, and NO one should take my post as a source.
I once needed to provide a customer with an icon in SVG, to be displayed (in different dimensions) on mobile phones. I exported the icon to AI and export from Illustrator to SVG Tiny.
