Live Test

Saw the discussion about Live Text in the CorelDRAW Graphics Suite feature requests. There were reasons to turn it off through a Registry Edit.

My question: What are the benefits of having Live Text? What does it do for anyone?

  • Hi J,

The main thing I liked about it was seeing tabs update on the text itself while adjusting tabs (in the rulers area) for a paragraph text frame. That was cool. Also adjusting line spacing for either type of text.

Otherwise, for whatever reason, it slowed my workflow down a lot on my particular main system. When I move or transform an artistic text string, I want laser-like accuracy and instant response from Draw. All other versions worked like that. Flickering text as I move it around the screen, and 400-1000 milliseconds before it catches up to the mouse... I can't work that way...
