I have used CorelDRAW for many years and I have often found it annoying that after I draw a line, it is automatically selected. Many times this is fine but when I am drawing using the freehand tool for example, I want to freely draw lots of lines, many times right over the last line. With the auto-selection feature I can't always do that and anyhow it is anoying to work around and in between the handles.
I have scoured the literature and I have never read where it is possible to disable this feature. Does anybody know how to do that?
Thanks.
I use the Escape key after each line. May not be correct but it works.

Ariel, I spend a lot of time composing my replies; didn't see yours. I apologize.
Thank you Jack, Ariel and Ahmad for the speed of your reply and especially for the tips. That is just what I wanted. I was sure that this existed (and in fact I may have found and used it at some time in the past) and I have checked that page of the tool options, too, but I missed it each time.
You are right, Ahmad, by using that option one can draw with as much freedom as in a paint program but with all the editability, exactness and scaleability of vectors.
Thanks again everyone.
