Greetings to everyone.
I have a peculiar problem with coreldraw x4. My friend had sent me a word document with the Hindi Mangal Unicode font, and he had asked me to manipulate it. I downloaded the trial version and began to start working on it.
But the problem is that copying and pasting in word documents works fine, but when i copy fron word and paste it in CorelDraw X4 some glyphs and characters are jumbled / incorrect.
Could some one please help me on this issue.

Designing in Corel Draw in Devanagari is possible. The process is a bit indirect but seamless nonetheless. CorelDraw cannot handle unicode fonts. To put Hindi text in Corel, you have to first convert the content in Mangal Unicode to any pre-Unicode era TTF fonts. While there are a number of TTF devanagari font families like Susha, Chanakya and ShreeLipi, the most convenient is the KrutiDev font family. So here's how you can get around. 1. Download the KrutiDev font family from the net. Do a little bit of search. 2. Go to this link and paste your Mangal text into the second box. Click on the button "Convert to KrutiDev कृतिदेव" http://122.252.243.98/Tools/unicode.htm 3. Some absurd random characters will appear on the top box. Don't panic. Copy that text and paste in your textbox inside Corel Draw file. 4. Select the text and change the font to KrutiDev. Viola! And here's your Hindi text, sparkling clean. You have posted this on 24 April 2017. The original post goes back many years. The statement you make is completely false if CorelDRAW X6 and onwards is used. Unicode support was added way back in Version X6 and it still continues.

It is no more required to do so since X6 version. All unicode fonts (Mangal; Devnagari fonts from Google or some available on internet work very well with CorelDRAW X6 and onwards. I have been using Devnagari unicode fonts without any issues for a long time since X6.

Anand Can you tell me how to type in CorelDraw using unicode? I am using x7 and this is the result. The result is same for Mangal Font.
I also facing the same problem in x7 with Mangal font and NIrmala UI font for Indic langauges. Is there any special setting to work in Indic Unicode text?
There must be preference setting option to use only ASCII Numerals with Indic Scripts texts using Unicode Open Type fonts.
