Hi,
I do not know what is happening but suddently I am unable to use properly CorelDRAW X4 due to measuremets issues.
I have a simple document I wish to work on with size 20,45cm x 15,40cm
I first create a new empty file (A4). Then I click on the empty working area and select on the toobar the measure of the area (where I already find 210 cm and 297 cm). I try to change the measure from 210 to 180 (as example) and after I type 180 and press enter the value changes to 1,800 cm and the working area becomes very very big.
It seems anything I do I am unable to obtain what I need.
I do not understand the behavior of this software and do not know what to do.I tired to delete Corel user profile but nothing has changed. The software has always worked properly. My OS is Windows 7 Pro x64.
Please help.
Thank you
I have tried to replicate what you done ...No problem on my X4
I would tried an F7 restart and see if anything changes.
What is an F7 restart? How to do so?
I was able to understand what the problem is.
I have a unstable user profile. I tried to logon with a local admin account and corelDraw runs fine.
Unfortunately, I will have to create a new windows user profile, do all the custom settings.
I hate when Windows behaves this way!
Thank you,
Spiro

As Ariel pointed out, it is actually done using the F8 key. Close all instance of the CorelDRAW Suite that may be open. While holding down the F8 key, open the application you wish to reset to the original Work Space. You will be asked if you wish to do this; click yes to continue. CAVEAT: you will loose any customization you may have created.
It could sound strange but I tried this solution and did not find any resolution.
I only noticed that if I run CorelDRAW under another user account it run perfectly. I also tried to wipe out the Corel folder under Roaming user profile but nothing worked.
I do not know what of my current user profile bothers Corel.
I think you may need to look in control panel > regional and language and see whether you have the correct setting (point or comma) for the decimal separator.

Spiro, this is not a problem with your program or installation, it's a problem with your Windows settings
