Hi all, I am currently trying to create a figure from bioinformatic data.
Everytime I export the .svg with the software I am using and try to open it with CorelDraw, it crashes. The same file opens with Inkscape, but if I try to save a .svg file through Inkscape and reopen it into CorelDraw, is still crashing.
It's very annoying, I contacted the support of the software developers to create a fix, but I can't wait for them to look into it. Can someone suggest a pragmatic solution?
Thank you very much,
Emiliano
Can you share the .SVG file?
Hi! I am trying to drag-drop the .svg, but it doesn't work.. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
Still, I cannot upload the .svg file here!
omg thank you so much! It works! You made my day, I'm under time pressure and this problem was wasting so much of my time!
That was a screwed up file it would not even print to an Adobe PDF PS driver.
This is the type of file that I get to export with the bioinformatic software I have to use. I filed a complaint to the developers, but I cannot wait for them to fix it

Does that software offer any other export options?
.SVG - .JPG/.JPEG - .BMP - .TIF/.TIFF - .PDF
If you would, please export the same figure from your bioinformatic software as a .PDF - and then share that PDF file here.
Perhaps better, perhaps worse than SVG - but it might be worth checking to determine the best format to import into CorelDRAW.
PDF
This is another export!
