All,
I modify some black and white images in photo paint as JPGs. Export as TIFs.
When I import into CorelDraw, the edges are blurred.
If I do a bitmap high resolution trace in CorelDraw, they are fine, but create a large amount of objects.
Is there any method to export the tif so that when imported into CD they edges are sharp?
Here you go!HelloWorld is a JPG that is crips in Photo Paint zoomed in.
I imported it into CD 2019 and goodbyeworld is the zoomed in screen view.
Thank you!
It appears to me that CorelDRAW 2019 is applying antialiasing to the bitmap when the viewing mode is "Enhanced". If I change the viewing mode to "Normal", then those edges of that bitmap appear sharp.
I was unaware of that behavior.
In CorelDRAW 2018, those edges of that bitmap appear sharp in both Normal and Enhanced viewing modes.
I changed to normal view and sharp as can be. Thank you!!!!
Now I wonder and do not know how to test if CD sends that output to the printer/engraver or is it strictly a visual issue.
It's all about the steps and options for create your jobs. For example, if you import a QR code to CorelDRAW, it should have sharpen edges. It you "convert to bitmap" or resample to 300 dpi for example (for grayscale you don't more than this) it should maintain sharpen edges... except if you enable "antialias". The antialias cause blurred edges (it's good for photos, but not for logos or barcode). No matter if it was TIF or JPG.
Moreover, you can convert to vector the QR using CorelTrace. Yes, the default values distort the objects, but if you choose "High quality image", and set "details" to max and "smooth" to zero, it should be perfect
