All,
I modify some black and white images in photo paint as JPGs. Export as TIFs.
When I import into CorelDraw, the edges are blurred.
If I do a bitmap high resolution trace in CorelDraw, they are fine, but create a large amount of objects.
Is there any method to export the tif so that when imported into CD they edges are sharp?
This is a basic issue - JPG and TIF are bitmap images, whereas Draw is for Vector images. The blurring you are seeing is probably the individual pixels in the bitmap.
What do you want to do with the image in Draw?
I engrave the images. the blur hasn't made a huge resolution, but annoying.
What size are your bitmaps (in pixels)?
What happens if you resample them to a higher resolution?
Size hasn't played a part in the issue. Small to very large, simple to complex vector lines and low res to 600dpi, all have the blurred edges. I've used other apps to create the JPGS from vector art. Once imported into CorelDraw, they all have blurred edges.
Left side is the from the vector file view. Right side is after exported as JPG, imported.

If you would, please share one or more JPG files that you think are sharp before importing, but appear to have blurred edges when imported into CorelDRAW.
