Not a Corel issue but I don't know where to turn

Hi

When I click on the windows start button then search programms and files, none of my files are showing.  I can see them in the folders but they don't show up on the search option.  I have been on YouTube and Googled the problem but none of the problems have solved my issue.  I thought one of you guys may have come across this issue in the past. Any help would be appreciated.
