I opened it up today and got that message. Any idea how I could diagnose and fix this??
Do a complete reboot of your machine, and then try again.
If you get a repeat of this action, after rebooting, then close PhotoPaint and then press and hold down the F8 key while opening PhotoPaint. That will reset it to the factory defaults.
I'll give it a try thanks Hugh!
Nope didn't work. I had already rebooted this AM. This time I saw this mssg after pressing the F8,
are you sure you want overwrite the current workspace to factory defaults?
but after that got the same stopped working mssg
the mssg I saw before I got the Stopped Working mssg
Okay, next step up in solving this. Close all CorelDRAW down. Find the installer or d/l it from Corel. Run the installer and when its menu comes up, look for and click on Repair. This will rebuild the default Corel directory in the 'appdata' environment of your system. This, also, resets any customization that you may have made to the Graphics Suite.
Thanks for the advice Hugh, nothing worked for the installation and I've been 'working' with corel for the last TWO DAYS! Absolutely the worst support I've ever received, the last 'Tech' I couldn't even understand her hindi was so thick. I hope they can fix this but now I doubt it. Wasted 3 hours yesterday waiting for a support call that never came, waited 2 hours today, then 2 hours of remote help with a 'tech' who was inept.
Now I've been waiting 2 more hours for a level 2 support to get in touch!
Try resetting the corel font manager next by pressing F8 on startup, when asked select the database option.
So it turned out to be an issue with NetFramework, it got cirrupted or something, the Corel tech figured that out then the MS tech was finally able to install the newest 4.8 version, then the Corel tech was finally able to install the suite!
