Is there any chance to implement a working tool for missing fonts (win7)?
Or should we arrange some fundraising for "Font Expert plugin 4 Corel" development ?
Best to all!
Corel user still alive!
Hello Sergej; Corel comes with "Font Navigator" Windows has a limited number of fonts that can be loaded with out causing a problem. Load your fonts in the Font Nav. ( make sure in set up you check the box for the use Font Nav on start up ).
George
I've been use Corel more than 20 years, BFN was god option in a very fresh start, last few years it's become more than usefulness almost like Corel draw after x3.
So should we start make a pressure on Corel company to bring our lives back!
I'm having trouble with the number of fonts I have on my CD X5. I have around 4000 to 5000 fonts that I like to have at easy access. Is there a way to see all the fonts in CD but not have them bog down the program? Iv'e been using Bitstream Font Navigator. But it's suuuuuuuuuuper slow to access.
Any help would be greatly apreciated.
Thanks, Matt
I have more than 50.000 donts on a separate folder, and only less than 200 installed. I use Fontnavigator for auto-install and manage fonts, and have no problems of speed
Everybody knows that BFN have serious problems with win 7. BFN did not have big improvement after a few yeras ago, and what is more important it doesnot working with x4 and x5 on same computer longer than a few days - if you have luck that work after install at all.
From the rest Ariel, you should admit (if you are car driver) that you appreciated a "few things" which you can find in the present cars, than a models 20 years older ago, especially if an old timer won't start!

What problems? I use it with Windows 7 and I have no problem. More, I knew some people that has some problems under Windows XP (ie, the auto-install feature doesn't works sometimes)

Yes, this is a big problem,

The main problem is: each version and program (CorelDRAW, Designer, etc) has it own version of BFN.

perhaps this is the problem... I'm not a car driver! :) btw, I want more features for both CorelDRAW and FontNavigator, and I want more and more. Anyway, I have no problems with BFN, and I don't need other program
I,m really happy for you!
But for my opinion and experience you are really rare user with such bless touch on your Corel draw.
So all others,
should we organize demonstrations in front of Corel head quoter with demanding s for fully working software, or Illustrator is our future?
Can you explain what kind of problems you have?
I just wonder. Is there a way to speed up BFN to open quicker? Mine seems to open extreemly slow.

The dialog that pops up when ever you install a font over 1000 fonts sure is annoying.

Install more than 1000 fonts is potentially dangerous, the system speed and performance decreases if you have 1000, 3000 or 5000 fonts, so this is a good advice. This is not "a problem", it's only an alert.

Hi.
Ability to dismiss it would be nice. I'm running 1508 fonts without any issues at all. In this day the computers, as they are very powerful relatively compared to such a short time ago, the limit should be increased. CorelDraw should be tested and optimized to run with a new max recommended limit of fonts especially if it ever becomes a 64 bit version.
