This is probably obvious and simple, but...
I have a shape created by three hexagons and they are abutted along edges. I would like to combine them into a single object and in doing so reduce the lines so that the abutted lines become one line. the reason is that currently they are processed twice along each abutted line by my laser.
I can use combine but this still leaves them as discrete editable shapes in node editor, so clearly the double lines are still there.
If I use weld I lose the lines.
Any thoughts?
Well, the Epilog laser fans page on Facebook has 1153 members, most of whom use CorelDraw.

Can you send me a few test files? I think I wrote a macro that works but want to try it out.

Hello Brute-Fish; I know I WANT one!!!
Brute-Fish said:This same problem applies to vinyl cutting. Running the cutting blade over the same line multiple times is inefficient and problematic with fine details. Setting up these files by hand is time consuming (almost to the point of not being worth it) and tedious. I'm only jumping in to show any enterprising macro writers that there is a real-world need for this sort of macro and that quite a few laser and vinyl operators could be potential customers. I use ecut now and that does this really well. Good investment. :)
Hello Steve; ya the price is not bad, I use i-Tech that comes with the Allen Data Graph cutter it loads like a printer, and when I want to cut I select the print and have set the driver as the default and it cuts away. I just had some of the boards repaired, gave ADGI a call told them the problem I was having they sent me a picture of all the boards and told me which one to send in and I was up and cutting vinyl in less than a weeks time. The cutter is pushing about 12 years old and still cuts as good now as it did the day I got it.Is it Fun doing signs, or what?
