So I have a bit of a problem which I am wandering if can even get worked out?
I created a design in Corel X5 that has PSD and TIFF images in it. The client needs them in an AI file. When I exported the file the images did not come in correctly they were pixelated and broken up.
I think this is a common problem and is there anywhere around it for it to be able to be exported correctly as an AI file. I really don't want to lose this job/client?
I used X7 and yes, the issue is present. And it is present in X6 as well. So likely it goes back to or before X5. I tried one of my own images and the problem exists in both X6 & X7 when exporting to AI format.
Did you try the renamed PDF I included in the ZIP file? It will be fine.
Mike
I did add .ai at the end of the file name but it still shows up as PDF file and I did send it to my client. I'm waiting to hear if that works for them.
I already renamed it to example.ai
It is inside of the ZIP file. I hope you didn't rename the ZIP file.
If your Windows system is not set to show file extensions, I would recommend it.
Judy, I would look at Document properties – Tools – Options - Document – Page Size – Rendering Resolution - and set up this to 300 dpi instead of 72 dpi.
Best regards
