This looks very much like the cause of the problem that Mike Ver Duin is having at http://community.coreldraw.com/forums/t/33943.aspx
Is anybody else finding their fontnav (64 bit or otherwise) is diagnosing italic fonts as duplicates?
My details:
X6 installed on newly delivered 64 bit win 7 professional (with all available windows updates).
Asked fontnav to find fonts from D:\Users\Public\Documents\Corel\Content X6\Fonts (as installed from X6 DVD).
The catalogue shows at most two fonts from each family of four:
Going to file > Settings > Duplicate Fonts shows the reason: the regular and italic versions of the font have been improperly detected as duplicates of each other.
It applies equally to the fonts on the Corel CD and those already installed in windows, including standard fonts such as Times New Roman.

Thank you Jesus. Or in this case, harryLondon!
Exact same problem and I'm 32 bit windows 7
And all those duplicate fonts for each of those is the result of installing them just yesterday. I think I'm going to uninstall BFN for now and see what happens.
I think I'm happier to know I'm not crazy than I am mad that it is a problem.

I agree. so I used the command line to copy all of my fonts into a big folder called 'archive all' and didn't worry about the sorting. I still have my subfolders elsewhere for reference, but for the purpose of NexusFont, I just drop all of the fonts into that folder if I need them.
I'm not at about 4 hours and Times Roman hasn't uninstalled yet. Only thing I've noticed is that CorelDraw is a touch slower on opening a new document/the text tool font drop down, but not horribly so.
Yes, I'm quite impressed with nexus after a quick trial -- it seems well thought out and having to rescan my fonts (about 1050) each time it starts isn't taking too long.
Minor reservation -- it has to be running in order to supply missing fonts, unlike fontnav which is only a user interface and the real time operation is done by a DLL.
Nexus has a setting to minimise itself to the system tray -- which gets us almost there if if is run in the startup group. But it really needs to be made Alt-F4 and close-box proof to ensure it is only terminated from the system tray and not done accidentally.

I've been running it for 4-6 hours now and it is taking 2mb of system ram so i'll deal with it. I actually like that it doesn't prompt me, it just runs with it.
as for the system tray, I have turned that on, then changed the shortcut to run as minimized so it should go straight to the system tray on start up after an admin prompt I suppose. That's the best we are going to get.
