In Corel X 6 Do we have any fill that mimic wood
Thanks
Hi Giulo,
Appart from what is already mentioned their is a lot of different ways to get wood paterns.
I have been a wood worker woodturner for a lot of years and I have found that any piece of timber that I liked I took a picture of that timber and used that as a bit map fill.
Also go down to your local hardware and look at all the printed material on stains and you will get a good idea of other timber finishers and colours.
Do a google search on the type of finish/ timber that you want and you will find some images.
Special timber yards/firms may also have different timber printed materials.
Joe
Fantastic you've been so helpful Thank you all very much.
Long ago I asked a friend of mine (a psychologist) why the smartest things are coming in your mind while you are either in the bathroom or in the toilet. He answered: "Very simple, these are the only places where you are alone and are absolutely calm to think about everything." So, this morning, again in the bathroom (may be because today I needed a texture similar to malachite), I remembered that until CDGS 8, in it there was an utility for producing textures, very good textures of wood, stone, marble etc., with various settings and all. It was removed from version 9 on, if I remember well.
I think that it won't be bad if this program will be updated and released again, nevermind if adding it back in the suite or separately. (And with snow textures, too.)
I, of course, do not expect at all any apocalyptic things but imagine only that a simple storm with lightnings burns the wire of your Internet for a week, and you need a malachite or an oak texture right now... and you are absolutely helpless. In such cases you realize how good is to be independent from all the webs, nets etc. and to have everything basic on your machine near your working table.
What do you think?

There was texture creation promgram in Version 10 called CorelTEXTURE. . It was created by a company called Three D Graphics. I do not think the app is still available from them. There may be others out there.
Yes, exactly - CorelTEXTURE, I remembered now. But I didn't know that it wasn't a Corel's own program.
P. S. Corel also has Bryce but it is mainly for creating various imaginary textures from scratch. It is also possible to enrich the clipart on the DVD with real textures and add some simple settings in PHOTO-PAINT, may be. I am not a programmer and only try to think logically.
