I need to remove a background from an object which I have imported into Photo Paint and by using the Wand have removed the white background. But when I go to export it and save it as a png file it puts the white background back in with the saved file. Can someone help me with this. I need the object to have a transparent background so that I can place it overtop other objects and not see the white of the background. Thanks again for any advice
I think you may have the transparency option turned off in the export options screen:
When the option is off, you will not see the chequerboard pattern behind the object.
Hello tsinohio; I know nothing about PhotoPaint buy what I do is take the file into CorelDRaw and then on the menu select Edit Bit Map That will take the file into PP so you can remove the background, then there will be a icon on the menu, as the screen shot below, then you can place it where you need it.
And you only need to make one post, when it drops off the first page you can select it and click on reply and type anything ( BOMP ) or what ever and it will put you back on the top of the first page. I hope this is some help.

Incidentally, there is also Image > cutout lab which you will probably find works better than the wand if the subject is more complicated or critical.
