Hi all,
I just experienced some color issues between corel draw nodes, example is an art work with pms value 186 c red..., on the origin computer where the file was originally generated in corel draw the file opens correct with the right PMS 186 c value and it displays on screen as correct red , however on the other 2 computers the color becomes transparent with a color ID - 100% ID:19 Density:100 and appears black under color palette while the text itself with the color assigned appears transparent, where is should be red (PMS 186 C).
This is a complete mess I have never ever experienced any problems of that kind since working with draw version 3.., , the file I describe is simple - 3 signs with red text..., lol how can I rely on corel package when I am unable to manage a file with 2 damn colors...., we've had a similar issue in the past where we printed 2 illuminated sign faces size 60" x 144" incorrectly, whre black turned onto white...,
I am sorry if I am asking too much but from a designer point of view this is simply ridiculous, what has happened to a bullet proof design package ??..., when we can not manage correctly single file with 2 colors how can I rely on anything else from corel draw considering already all the important detailsI have to watch for like trapping, spelling , sizes, color accuracy ect..... now what?? I have to reassure myself that the color I assigned will actually work on the next computer ......
Has anyone else come across similar problems ?? if so would you mind sharing your solution...
thanks.
Andrew
Just wanted to add , I just ran some tests, the same file when text converted to curves and over saved opens just fine the color displays as correct red,
when the text remains as font the problem persist.
Are all of the computers using 16.3? Do they all have that particular palette installed? [edit: sorry, I see now that you mentioned that you do]
Could you attach a file? If I can reproduce it here, I can have the issue logged.
Here is the file,
as mentioned before when I convert the text to curves it opens fine on other computers when I lave the file with text as fonts the problem reappears...
here is the file,
also after re-reading all the responses, I am using a custom pallet , but by all means if my pallet displays a PMS 186 C what difference would that make
in default pantone pallet and my custom pallet ?, why is the font itself playing a role in how corel adopts the color.......
thanks for all the help.

Thanks, did you check to see if all computers were 16.3?
Can you point out which text objects are not rendering correctly (just let me know what the text is, e.g. "CUSTOMER APPROVAL")
all stations are using upgraded up to date 16.3 ver.
the color you're asking is an RGB red., in the color data box you should have the pms 186 c and all the text within the decals is also pms 186 c red,
try to convert the text to curves and save it as extra copy and reopen that copy you will see the color will show as red lol
To be sure that I understand, the text object next to this red object you expect to also be red?
As for the red square, something definitely weird going on here, when I select this object and view it in object properties, it thinks the color comes from another palette. I'll see if I can have something logged on that.
Here is a compiled JPG representing the 2 nodes (computers)
text inside the boxes (decals) is at fault...

If you have time, try these files and see if colors are correct...

The two files you sent look alright here.

Thanks for checking Ronny. Now, if a few others check, as well as the OP, then it may be solved.
The 2 files you supplied also open right on my end now...
I just wanted to add if that was missed, that ran a test and when I converted the troubled text to curves and over saved it, it opened correctly on secondary computer showing the actual 186 c red. It almost seems like the font itself is holding some sort of conflicting color data or a feature that is preventing corel draw from displaying the actual color data....
This thing should be addressed and fixed immediately,
my world and my career evolves around specific color data not a color assumption ....,
and using draw as a primary design tool makes me now very worried and on top of that it becomes counter productive as I will have to double check
everything that I design and print from now on until this problem is resolved...
thanks to all of you for participating and trying to resolve / troubleshoot this important issue.
