I've just noticed that the flashy stick icon for the text tool has disappeared and I can't figure out how to get it back. I can still work without it but it is guess work as to where I'm placing the icon in some text until I start typing. Its really annoying. Can anyone help?
Hello the_sum; You should be able to drag and drop the Icon in Setup to the bar you want it in. ( Screen Shot below.)

Click on plus ( + ) icon and choose 'Reset Toolbar" .
Once done, click on "Tools" > "Save settings as Default"
If I read the post correctly, its the text cursor which is missing, not a toolbar icon.
I presume you've already tried restarting CorelDraw, in which case it might be wise to try a reboot before anything else.
If it is still missing after the reboot, then its probably time to try an F8 reset -- close CorelDraw, hold the F8 key down and start CorelDraw with the mouse. Keep it down until a message confirms the reset has occurred. This will reset all your settings, but it is probably necessary at this stage.
Thanks harryLondon. It's sorted now. It was really bugging the hell out of me.
Thanks to everyone else too for the quick responses.
