We cannot view previews for .cdr files. I have read other postings for this problem and they refer to something called the "shell extension". I clicked on the add on options in the install program and saw nothing saying shell extension. Any help out there?
thanks
Janet
I'm having the same problem with my new computer and I've tried everything. (Well, apparently not...) On my control panel under programs, all I have is a list of installed programs (screen shot) and the option to uninstall or repair the program. I can find no shell extension there or on the Corel CD, but several people have referenced it so it must be somewhere.
I apologize since this was an X6 forum I missed the X3 thing

If you click CorelDraw in the list of programs (screenshot in your previous post, I assume it is from Add/Remove Programs?), you should have the options to uninstall or modify (could be called Repair, not sure).Choose Modify/Repair and there should be a dialog where you can select what to install/uninstall.Here's a screenshot from the dialog, unfortunately for you in Swedish, but I think you'll find it anyway.Make sure thumbnail preview is properly installed. If it already is, then deactivate it and proceed, reboot the computer and run Modify/Repair again and install the thumbnail preview again.
