Can't sign in error: serial number already used?

I can sign in on Corel website, and product registration is in my account. But can't using corel draw X7 sign in for updates or any other function needing web activity.

I'm thinking it's because I registered my first installation at the web site, not during program installation. So every time the X7 program tries to log in it reads the serial number and won't complete the built in registration part of the installation process.

Does this make since? I think the installation automatically registers the serial number. But because I already registered it before installation I am having this problem.

How can I correct this.

Also my X7 installation has bar code, but doesn't have QR codes function???

I work at Corel and I might be able to determine the reason for the problem, if I can't I'll route you to the right people to provide you the support you need.

Can you send me the logs found in your temp directory by typing %temp% in the windows explorer address bar and finding the log files that start with PCUlog*.* and sending them to me. Make sure you don't share them with anyone as you provide personal information.

The logs can be zipped and send via email to brian.fraser@corel.com if you would like some assistance.

Hello chuck; I would listen to Brian ( Working for Corel he has a better chance of helping you.) But I will say that all the years I've been coming here the only ones that I have seen with a problem like that, are people that got the program from some place like Ebay and you only have 30 days from the time you payed them with PayPal to get your money back. X7 is a good ver. of Draw and if you are making a living with graphics it is the way to go. With a legal copy you can load it (3) three times on that many computers. Good Luck.

Hi Chuck19020,

Then can you just send me all the *.txt files from you temp directory, I can find the files I need to look from that? Send it as a zip file to this email address, brian.fraser@corel.com.

If you don't feel comfortable with doing that just send me the email address that you used to create the corel account to the same email address above.

Hi Brian,

I guess I have almost the same situation as chuck19020 had. So I "bump this up" hoping that you notice my message... so once again here is another question concerning how to uninstall/deactivate Corel X7.

STARTING POINT:

I have all legit Corel X7 installed to my desktop computer. The product was registered on-line using the web page (not using built-in registration during the install), I do have an Corel account (for quite many years actually), the serial number is identical in all places, including; DVD-box, registered products listing on web-site/account and in "About CorelDraw" window. I even have the activation key stored with my installation DVD....

Now I have to uninstall everything I have on my computer, and then this old desktop shall be put through a highly sophisticated demolition process and ultimately sent to recycling heaven in small pieces. This all, because I have a new laptop.

So naturally I would like to install X7 to my new laptop. And on this old PC I need to uninstall the software without loosing my right to still have X7 in 3 different PC's. AFAIK, to keep that, uninstallation must be done in "Signed in Mode". (please, correct me if I am wrong. I hope someone who officially represents CorelDraw would confirm this...)

THE ISSUE:

Problem is that I cant sign in using Corel's "Help-->Sign in". My login-dude-icon stays red ;-( All I get is this message "Error: serial number has already been used."

Yeah. Obviously I used it when I registered the product.

So the question is: how to sign in? How to get my login-dude-icon green just for 5 minutes so that I can uninstall X7...?
