I can sign in on Corel website, and product registration is in my account. But can't using corel draw X7 sign in for updates or any other function needing web activity.
I'm thinking it's because I registered my first installation at the web site, not during program installation. So every time the X7 program tries to log in it reads the serial number and won't complete the built in registration part of the installation process.
Does this make since? I think the installation automatically registers the serial number. But because I already registered it before installation I am having this problem.
How can I correct this.
Also my X7 installation has bar code, but doesn't have QR codes function???
Hi Brian, I sent you e-mail (after your initial explanation about the problem), but I did not get any response. So basically I am still stuck here with this situation. I discussed with our IT manager; it is difficult (= finnish way to say "nope") to re-activate old e-mails as it may potentially violate privacy laws. I guess they'd be also happy to see me changing over to Adobe products because - as they say - "it is a company policy and an industry standard". In my case they are wrong of course, but... then again... I have Adobe suite already installed. I just would hate to use ***those*** tools for designwork that I do. i.e. large size mechanical engineering, labelling, silk-screen printing, machining, quick tech drawings (when ever it is quicker to do with CD than with SolidWorks) etc... Is it really so, that I am not able to get latest updates to my new computer only because temporary worker signed up to Corel's service while I was doing other projects? I'm still hoping, that you could simply delete the wrong/unnecessary account. I know you must be cautious, but the facts still are: - log files show the ex-worker uses the same company e-mail address as I am using - log files I believe show the PC that was used by ex-worker is the same PC I use - I have successfully registered the product via Corel's website using the same serialnumber (how's that even possible from your side some how concerns me...) - there should not be any activity on ex-workers Corel account after the summer of 2015 (that is the time when the contract ended) - e-mails tied to these accounts using the same serialnumber show that I am here, the ex-worker is not - I have the original package and installation DVD here next to me, should I send some pictures? - if there is anything else I can do in order to solve to situation, just let me know. I know this must be a tricky situation, but I need some sort of plan how to proceed - or at least confirmation if you really can't undo the unecessary account. With Regards.
