I am new to CorelDraw X7, though I have used CorelDraw 7 for many years. When I create a new document in X7 using enhanced view, the paper and background is pale yellow. If I switch to normal view they are OK (i.e. white). I believe this is something to do with colour management. Could somebody please explain in simple terms the easiest way to solve this problem. I am using an AOC monitor. As far as I can tell my Canon printer prints the colours OK irrespective of whether I am in normal or enhanced view. Any help greatly appreciated
Check your profile using color management off is A BAD IDEA IN NEARLY EVERY WAY.
Hi Dave,
I have been revisiting this topic because I didn't adjust my colour management to any different settings than the one I found that worked despite your bold type advice.
It appears the video and general advice above is just for general overall monitor calibration and Display settings for Windows.
My colour corruption is just in Corel products, no other programs, not Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Office. If you see the Corel default settings in the first screengrab it is definitely corrupt, but if you see in the second screengrab, with the settings contrary to your advice, it is correct.
If this is a 'BAD IDEA IN EVERY WAY', & I don't doubt your advice,
A)I can't understand how working with a dirty white is a good idea, and B) it appears no-one has the solution.then
C) it suggests that my Corel program is corrupt
I have been working with the "BAD IDEA" setting since your last message because it works, but I don't know if is causing any conflicts.
I have notified Corel that my product is massively corrupt, constantly crashing, Auto Backup never works, bugs galore etc. and they don't offer any solution.
Your problem with the yellow background is in Windows not Corel.
Are your other applications color managed?
