CorelDRAW X7 inline graphics to curves

inline graphics to curves

Does anyone know of a workaround for the X7 inline graphic limitation that now you can no longer convert the text to curves, which I need to to for my workflow?

Always worked great in X5, but now X7 gives you a dialog box telling you the graphic will disappear. Bummer.

One workaround is to Publish to PDF with "Export all text as curves" (Objects tab) enabled, and then reimport the PDF to Draw.
I suggest Compatibility level Acrobat 5.0 or higher to preserve transparency.

I don't think it ever worked as expected... I tried in X5, same warning dialog.

Oh, I guess I should have clarified. . . my workflow is to export to AI with fonts converted to curves in the dialog box.
That always worked fine in X5 but not in X7.

That works, and I only need to import the pdf into Illustrator, no need to bring it back into Corel for my workflow.

So I assume this is an acceptable workaround for you then?

We have brought it to Corel's attention and with a little luck maybe they can fix it in a coming version.
Or maybe not? ;-)
