can anyone please advise if there is a may to set back the position of the crop marks from the printed area.

You can customize your macro to set your offset to suit your needs. I'd provide mine but it was made many years ago while learning vba and doesn't use the most conventional method. It still works for me and I haven't had time to dedicate to writing a new one.
