Crop Marks

Hi Guys,

can anyone please advise if there is a may to set back the position of the crop marks from the printed area.

thanks

Mark

  • "set back the position of the crop marks from the printed area"? Not sure what you mean. Are you talking about the crop marks on the "prepress" tab of the print dialogue? We don't use those here. I have a macro for my crop marks.
    • Hi Myron,

yes in the pre-press tab, I find when cutting crop marks in some cases are still slightly visible, so wanted to set them back to avoid this. If a marco can achieve this, love to know how!

      • You can customize your macro to set your offset to suit your needs. I'd provide mine but it was made many years ago while learning vba and doesn't use the most conventional method. It still works for me and I haven't had time to dedicate to writing a new one.

        • Thanks Myron
          • You can use a free macro in order to put crop marks on the selected object such as https://oberonplace.com/vba/drawmacros/cropmarksh.htm or http://macromonster.com/product/dizzy-crop-marker/
            • myron do you have this crop mark macro i want the left side macro which you have made not the standard one.. ????

                Myron,

I wrote something today to produce "Myron-style" crop marks inspired by your post. See this thread.
