How to make this outline/background

Hello all - I cannot figure out how to make this outline/background (the green area) Please walk me through making this. THANKS!!!!

    heeyy.. i think i have a simple way to make it..
    just use a brezier tools to make a "T" outline, then if u alreay do that change the size of the outline until same like the pictures.
    for the "tigers" click "right click on the grees color so he putline will changed to green, then u change the size. DONE. hehehe
    i think use my way is more than easy.. :3
